No more beard stubble
For those who are disappointed with the results of shaving and shy away from the costs of laser or IPL treatment, epilation with wax offers a proven alternative. There are good reasons for this. A major advantage over shaving is that waxing removes the hairs along with the hair root. As a result, the regrowing hairs form a soft fluff that does not scratch and is therefore more pleasant than “beard stubble”.
Longer “hair-free time”
At the same time, epilation of the hair root means that you can enjoy smooth, hair-free skin for considerably longer. Depending on the type, between 3 and 6 weeks. With regular waxing, hair growth will also decrease overall, so that the treatment intervals will lengthen.
Overall not unkind
When it comes to tolerability, the advantages over shaving become clear. Skin irritations on sensitive areas of the body, such as the armpits and bikini line, are much less common. In addition, regular use leads to a permanent reduction in hair growth. As a result, the unpleasant sensations continuously decrease.
Sugaring: The even gentler alternative
In addition to waxing, you can also have Venus & Apoll rid you of unwanted body hair with the even gentler sugaring method.
Similar to waxing, a warm sugar paste is applied to the skin during sugaring. However, this is not removed with the help of a strip, but directly with the hand. This allows the hairs to be epilated to a greater extent with the direction of growth, which makes the procedure much less painful. At the same time, the hairs are less likely to break off when they are pulled off in the direction of growth. This also means that subsequent skin irritations are much milder.
Due to the higher time expenditure compared to waxing, we recommend sugaring especially for smaller and/or very sensitive areas, such as the bikini zone or the intimate area.
Also gentle on the environment
Since the sugar paste consists of purely natural ingredients without chemical additives, treatment with sugaring is also gentle on the environment. The sugar paste is also said to have an antibacterial effect in the event of skin infections.
