What is coagulation?
Coagulation is a minimally invasive procedure in which fine blood vessels or age spots are treated with targeted heat energy. The energy seals the affected vessels or gently removes pigments without affecting the surrounding tissue. The result is a more even, calmer complexion – often visible after the first treatment.
The method is particularly suitable for bothersome redness on the face (e.g., couperose), small spider veins, as well as age and pigment spots on the hands, décolleté, or face. Before each treatment, we perform a personal skin analysis to optimally tailor the coagulation to your skin type.
Treatment with Coagulation
With coagulation, we can treat various benign skin changes precisely and gently:
- Red veins on the face (couperose, fine spider veins)
- Visible small blood vessels on the nose, cheeks, or chin
- Age and pigment spots on the face, décolleté, and hands
- Small, raised skin changes such as hemangiomas or skin tags (aesthetic indication)
Preparation for the treatment
Before the coagulation, we will discuss your wishes in detail and examine the affected areas. The skin is thoroughly cleaned; for sensitive areas, a numbing cream can be applied upon request.
Treatment with precise heat energy
Immediately after coagulation, the skin may be slightly reddened or minimally swollen. These reactions usually subside within a short time. Crusts or small scabs should not be scratched off so that the skin can heal in peace. For a few days, we recommend avoiding direct sun, tanning beds, and saunas, and using a high sun protection factor.
Results and Number of Sessions
Often, significant improvements are visible after just one session. Depending on the findings, one to three treatments may be useful. The result is usually long-term, as sealed vessels and removed pigments do not reappear – however, new changes can occur over time.
After the Hyaluron Treatment
The results are immediately visible; immediately after the treatment, local redness and increased sensitivity may occur in the injection area. The redness subsides within half an hour. The injected areas should not be massaged or exposed to pressure. Make-up should only be applied on the day after the wrinkle treatment to avoid infections at the injection sites.
